Nach ein paar Tagen denken über Kunst und andere Ausdrucksformen hatte ich ein Gespräch mit Netti über Aimie, Rob und Doxology. Irgendwie sind wir im Gespräch darauf gekommen, dass Kunst eine Ausdrucksform ist und man sie oft nicht verstehen kann. Und das sie darum Ähnlichkeit mit der Gabe des Zungenredens hat. Ich habe folgende Gedanken dazu:

1. Nicht jeder hat die Gabe des Zungenredens, nicht jeder kann sich in Kunst ausdrücken.
2. Es gibt einen Stil für Kunst, der dem Künstler entspricht, genau wie es einen Dialekt im Zungenreden gibt.
3. Zungenrede ist für manche leichter zu verstehen und einzuordnen, als für andere – Kunst verstehen auch nur wenige.
4. Kunst ist ein Ausdruck von etwas, das man leichter durch die „Sprache“ der Kunst ausdrücken kann als anders z.B. mit Worten. Zungensprache ist in diesem Fall auch etwas verborgen, dem normalen Ausdruck entzogenes, könnte man Zungensprache Zeichnen?
5. Der Künstler versteht sein Werk oft nicht, genau wie der Zungenredner die Zungenrede oft nicht versteht.

Natürlich ist es biblisch nicht zu begründen, aber Ähnlichkeiten sind da – was haltet ihr von diesem Gedanken?

After a couple of days thinking about different ways to express oneself I had a good conversation with Netti, a friend, about Aimie, Rob and Doxology. Somehow we came to the point, that Art is a way of Expression, that is hard to understand. And, surprisingly, that art has a few things in common with the gift of tongues. I noted a few thoughts on that one:

1. Not everybody has the gift of speaking in tongues, just like not everybody is able to express her/himself in and through art.
2. There is a distinctive style in art, depending on the artist and there is a dialect to speaking in tongues.
3. The gift of tongues is for some easy to understand and to give it its proper place, others struggle in that point – Art is also understood by some, not so by others.
4. Art is a way of expressing that makes it possible to communicate things that are hard to communicate by words alone. Speaking in tongues is also expressing the deep yearnings of the heart – would it be easier to draw it than to draw words? Anybody get my meaning?
5. The artist doesn’t understand his work (also that’s a guess, I think – is this true?) at least not fully, the speaker of tongues is left in the dark, too.

Of course I can’t put a biblical foundation for these thoughts, but they helped me to understand the nature of art and tongues, by providing similarities. What do you think?
